I started a Sunday school for the children of the Stone Creek Section of Huntingdon in 1892. I wanted to establish a permanent home for the school, so with help from Mary Speer and Kate Blair, the Stone Creek Chapel was built in what is now Blair Park. The chapel has recently been restored.

I worked tirelessly for my local church and any movement to better Huntingdon received my enthusiastic support. I was on the Board of Directors of the Presbyterian Home in Hollidaysburg.
